Job Description

Performs post origination activities for lease transactions.  Responsible for task prioritization, post origination maintenance activities, securing and releasing collateral and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and pool purchases.  Works in a team environment and collaborates with asset management, credit, tax, sales, lease accounting, lease partners and closing to ensure that post lease origination commitments are fulfilled.  Provides periodic status to Leasing Delivery Services (LDS) leadership, relationship managers and account managers.  Leads the team and provides a back-up to the Supervisor when they are unavailable, including reporting responsibilities, process guidance/expertise and team workflow coordination. (not to include individual performance coaching, progressive discipline or recruitment activities.)  Actively leads new hire mentoring, training and continuous improvement activities under supervision of supervisor. In the absence of supervisor, serves team as a point of escalation for process and procedure questions from team, lease partners and customers.  

Essential Functions

The essential functions include, but are not limited to:

 

  1. Facilitates contract maintenance in LeaseWave, our post origination system.  Reviews documentation to meet timelines and comply with corporate guidelines, policies and underwriting standards.   Collaborates with sales, asset management, credit, tax and closing.  Conducts contract maintenance to meet timelines and comply with corporate guidelines, policies and underwriting standards.

 

  1. Manages maintenance of shared portfolio items and partner notes in post origination system for FCL’s leasing partners/customers.

 

  1. In the absence of the supervisor, coordinates back-up of contract maintenance, maintenance of shared portfolio items, reconciliation activities for general ledger accounts and pool purchases, and all other workflow to other team members as appropriate.

 

  1. Performs reconciliation activities for both general ledger accounts and pool purchases.  Ensure reconciliations are completely times and all items are resolved and comply with corporate guidelines and policies.

 

  1. Serves as first escalation point and acts as a liaison between FCL and Lease Accounting and provides guidance on accounting and reconciliation items.

 

  1. Performs tasks associated with securing and releasing collateral such as filing UCC amendments, continuations, filing documents in land records such as mortgages, warranty deeds LLMW etc.

 

  1. Performs tasks associated with end of lease process.  Prepares ownership transfer documents, updates post origination system and obtains necessary documentation from lessee to complete disposition or renewal process.

 

  1. Completes booking activities to meet internal, partner and customer commitments. Performs booking functions to active lease contracts in the lease accounting system. Performs validation steps over contract documents and system attributes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of manually keyed attributes to the lease accounting system.

 

  1. Completes funding activities for assigned accounts to meet internal, partner and customer commitments. Performs appropriate due diligence according to FCL policies and prepares vendor payment requests within authority limits. Obtains additional approval from LDS leadership for payment requests outside of authority.

 

  1. Performs quality assurance functions. Works with team to ensure that high quality standards are achieved. Identifies opportunities for quality improvement, leads and coordinates efforts to improve processes and controls, mentors team and provides ongoing feedback to management.

 

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

               

  1. Cross-trains in order to assist and back-up other associates.  Proficient with all team processes and servicing relationships and in the absence of the supervisor serves as a point of escalation for process and procedure questions.

 

  1. Works closely with Relationship Managers, Account Managers, Customers and Lease Partners to provide superior customer service.

 

  1. Actively leads new hire mentoring, training and continuous improvement opportunities under supervision of supervisor.

 

  1. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience

5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the equipment finance leasing industry 

Lease Accounting experience or Accounting Degree is preferred

Physical Exertion Details

The typical base pay range for this role is between $63,631 - $80,286. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
