Leads engagement for CoBank's strategic analysis and internal consulting function. Establishes best practices for an internal strategic analysis capability, customized to CoBank and its role as a lender to rural industries. Projects will include analyses related to policy, financial modeling, business environment trends, blue sky forecasting, and scenario analysis. Interprets, defines, analyzes, and delivers insights on complex strategic issues and questions generated by the chief executive officer and other members of the executive team. Designs and executes action plans to respond to inquiries and proposed projects. Delivers thought leadership and actionable insights in support of the bank's strategic objectives.
1. Oversees projects for CoBank’s strategic analysis and internal consulting function. Manages strategic analysis projects that respond to inquiries from CoBank's executive team related to corporate strategy, long-term planning, changes in policy environments, and evolving rural business climate.
2. Conducts strategic analysis in support of requests generated by executive management, including the President & Chief Executive Officer. Works closely with senior leaders, interprets inquiries, objectives and expectations, and develops plans and tactics for appropriate and relevant analysis.
3. Interprets analytical data, develops actionable insights, and delivers executive summaries, consultation and recommendations.
4. Oversees multiple analyses and strategic projects from inception to completion, prioritizing based on urgency, expectations and deadlines.
5. Manages relationships on an as-needed basis with external management consulting firms and service providers.
6. Supervises staff. Sets performance standards, manages workflow, evaluates performance and recommends personnel actions within delegated authorities. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $127,320 - $177,038. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
