Job Description

Processes transactions, resolves an array of customer requests and provides general customer service for CoBank internal and external customers. Some duties include, but are not limited to, processing domestic and international wire transfer requests through the Federal Reserve Bank, and posting payments and advances to customer loans. Works directly with internal and external customers via email, phone and in person, maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality within tight deadlines, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Essential Functions

1. Processes domestic and international incoming and outgoing wires.
2. Serves as contact point for internal and external customer’s inquiries.
3. Posts transactions on loans and conducts research as necessary.
4. Reviews check postings and makes corrections when necessary.
5. Processes ACH and check exceptions.
6. Produces notices regarding clearing account activity, and communicates with customer.
7. Makes entries to accounting system and customer clearing accounts.
8. Utilizes ticketing system to initiate or receive work requests.
9. Manually processes international checks.
10. Initiates or receives check adjustments from the Federal Reserve Banks or other banks.
11. Assists coworkers as needed to ensure all department duties are completed according to department requirements.
12. Serves as “Mission Critical Personnel” for business continuity and reduced staffing scenarios.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience

3 years of experience, preferably in banking or financial services. required

Physical Exertion Details

Sedentary Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Travel Requirement Details

Occasional Travel occurs infrequently (typically, once a month or less).

The typical base pay range for this role is between $50,000 - $61,250. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
