Job Description

Internship Dates

  • Start Date: May 28, 2025
  • End Date: August 8, 2025
  • Intern Summit in Denver: June 10 - 12

What You'll Do

Over your 10-week paid internship, our Customer Service intern gets first-hand exposure to the daily duties of a Customer Service Representative, supporting our Farm Credit Leasing, Loan and Cash Management products. The intern will conduct operations request for lease and loan buyouts, banking updates and general inquiry support for CoBank’s customers. They will have daily interaction with the leadership team to gain insight into prioritizing workflow and customer requests. They will gain exposure to CoBank’s newest systems such as LeaseWave and Salesforce, systems that develop cross functional skills that can be applied across the finance industry. At the end of the internship, the intern will present a capstone project on which could include topics such as improvements to the associate and customer experience.

 

This role is hybrid, interns will come into their designated office at least 4 days a week.

 

Interns work approximately 40-hours per week.

Compensation Information

  • Bachelor's Student: $21.00/hour
  • Master's Student: $25.00/hour
  • Summer Stipend: $3,500

Education

  • Currently enrolled in and working towards a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration & Management, Economics, Agribusiness, or a related discipline and in good academic standing
  • While rising seniors will be given priority, we will consider rising juniors

Work Experience

Other Qualifications

  • Prior customer support experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Aptitude for learning other software applications (Salesforce and AWS Connect)
  • Ability to perform research across multiple systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical skills
