CoBank seeks to hire a Senior Manager, People Operations to provide leadership and technical expertise to a growing team of specialists who deliver our most critical people processes. This role will focus on elevating the operational rigor and excellence throughout our people processes across the employee lifecycle including, but not limited to onboarding, offboarding, compensation, benefits, payroll, development, talent acquisition, compliance, and employee relations.
We're looking for a leader to drive business results via People Operations. This role will partner with stakeholders inside and within Human Resources and will require a balance of analytical work as well as strategic problem solving and program execution. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing and systemizing HR processes, ensuring compliance, managing operational support, leading cross-functional projects, and developing the People Operations Team.
1. Strategic HR Initiatives: Partnering with business leaders and HR to proactively surface issues and identify solutions. Collaborating with HR leadership to align processes with broader HR strategies and organizational goals. Contributing to the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
2. HR Operations Management: Leading a team of HR professionals providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely execution of critical processes. Establishing operational objectives, qualitative and quantitative assessment and measurement to continuously improve delivery. Innovate to ensure the operationalization of people processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. Foster a culture of excellence that delivers experiences and solutions that delight our customers. Nurture curiosity and promote ownership to identify and eliminate pain points associates encounter in engaging people services.
3. Systems & Data Management: Utilizing Dayforce HCM to manage operational functions, including system configuration, data integrity, and troubleshooting issues to ensure seamless people operations. Collaborates and partners with other teams including HRIS, Product, and Technology & Data Innovation as appropriate.
4. Compliance and Audits: Establishes and monitors key performance indicators for all processes, identifies trends, root causes, and forecasts to ensure operations are on track to obtaining goals. Develop ways of working that ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Identify gaps, measure risks, and implement procedures to mitigate risk.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyzing people operations and payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvements. Analyze data and provide recommendations for policy, process, and strategic projects.
6. Leadership and Development: Leading and mentoring associates to ensure they are knowledgeable and proficient in processes and systems. Promoting continuous learning and professional development within the team. Lead cross functional projects that support COE program delivery to the organization. Provide guidance on complex situations while developing a team of independent and resource problem solvers.
7. Process & Policy Improvement: Continuously evaluating and improving people processes and policies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and employee satisfaction. Implementing best practices and innovative solutions to streamline operations.
Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field required
Master's Degree in Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources or related field preferred
7 years of broad HR experience, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance, providing a well-rounded understanding of HR operations required.
5 years leading people, preferably direct reports, or project teams required.
3 years of in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with modern HRIS systems, Dayforce preferred, particularly in the area of time management and payroll processing, reporting and compliance features required.
3 years managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration. Experience building payroll processes, with continuous iteration and/or launching payroll systems preferred.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $119,200 - $146,640. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
