Job Description

Are you a technically skilled leader who thrives on building high-performing teams and driving innovation through automation? We are seeking a Manager of Tech Services to lead a diverse team of engineers and specialists focused on delivering scalable, automated, and efficient IT solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical expertise with people management. You will guide the team in developing automation frameworks, optimizing IT operations, and implementing modern engineering practices. You'll also play a key role in mentoring team members, setting strategic direction, and ensuring the successful delivery of technical initiatives.

Essential Functions

1. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Tech Services Engineers and Specialists across various experience levels.
2. Oversee the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions to streamline IT operations and reduce manual effort.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Cloud, Product) to align technical solutions with business goals.
4. Drive adoption of DevOps practices, including CI/CD infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated monitoring.
5. Establish and maintain technical standards, documentation, and best practices for automation, scripting, and system design.
6. Manage team workload, project timelines, and resource allocation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
7. Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues and guide root cause analysis and long-term resolution strategies.
8. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and learning within the team.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a similar field required

Work Experience

6 years of experience in IT engineering, DevOps, or technical support roles required
3 years of experience in a technical leadership or management role required
1. Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, ITIL Foundation or Intermediate, or CompTIA Security+ certifications preferred.
2. Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash.
3. Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS).
4. Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible), and monitoring platforms.
5. Strong grasp of IAM principles, API integrations, and modern IT service management practices.
6. Proven track record of leading teams in automation, process improvement, and cloud engineering initiatives.

About CoBank

The typical base pay range for this role is between $119,200 - $146,640. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
