Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Infrastructure Security Analyst to support our security team. This role is ideal for professionals with foundational experience in securing cloud and on-premises infrastructure, particularly in environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), AWS, and modern security technologies. The candidate should have a working knowledge of network security, data loss prevention (DLP), and basic security tool management.

Essential Functions

  • Assists in implementing and maintaining security controls across cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-prem infrastructure.
  • Correlates data across multiple tools (DLP + CASB + AWS logs).
  • Supports Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development using Terraform under guidance.
  • Writes detection rules, automates triage (Splunk queries, SIEM rules, SOAR playbooks).
  • Works with IaC reviews to catch security issues early.
  • Spots, fixes, or escalates misconfigurations proactively.
  • Participates in security assessments and reviews of network and cloud environments.
  • Helps manage security systems including DLP, content filters, CASB, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Supports physical security systems such as cameras and access control/badging systems.
  • Contributes to documentation for security policies, procedures, and configurations.
  • Monitors infrastructure security alerts and escalate incidents as needed.
  • Participates in threat modeling and risk assessments with senior team members.
  • Stays informed on emerging security threats and technologies.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field required
  • Certifications in security and networking (network security certification (Security +, GIAC, CCNA, CCSP, etc.) preferred
  • AWS Security Specialty or other relevant certifications preferred

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in infrastructure or cybersecurity roles. required
  • 2 years of experience working with network equipment and technologies such as firewalls and IDS systems required
  • 1 year of experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and IaC tools (Terraform). required
  • 1 year of experience with network security principles and tools required
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), especially Terraform.
  • Hands on experience working with network equipment such as Firewalls, IDS and basic routing and switching.
  • Hand on Experience with DLP technologies and implementation.
  • Working Knowledge of AWS Security Essentials: Security groups, NACLs, VPC flow logs.
  • Familiarity with physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, access control).
  • Familiarity in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Java, etc.).
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Exposure to container security (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

About CoBank

The typical base pay range for this role is between $98,500 - $121,180. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
