Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Tech Services Engineer who will lead the charge in designing and implementing automation strategies, enhancing operational efficiency, and building scalable technical solutions across cloud and on-premises environments. This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional who is passionate about process improvement, DevOps practices, and emerging technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to architect and deploy automation frameworks, reduce operational toil, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

  • Designs, develops, and maintains automation scripts and tools using Python, PowerShell, Bash, and other relevant languages.
  • Leads initiatives to streamline IT operations, reduce manual intervention, and improve service delivery through automation and orchestration.
  • Collaborates with DevOps, Cloud, and Security teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated monitoring solutions.
  • Identifies opportunities for process optimization and develop scalable solutions that enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Builds and maintains integrations between cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, AWS, Azure) and internal systems.
  • Collaborates closely with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to contribute to the delivery of cloud-based solutions that meet high standards of performance, security, and scalability.
  • Serves as a technical mentor to junior engineers, promoting best practices in automation, scripting, and system design.

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field preferred

Work Experience

  • 5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or DevOps roles required
  • 3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365, AWS, etc. required
  • 3 years of experience with scripting and automation (Powershell, Python, Bash) required
  • CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), ITIL Intermediate are a plus.
  • Deep technical expertise in end-user computing and related technologies.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing automated workflows and integrations across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Expertise in scripting, automation, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM) principles and automation.
  • Experience with API integrations, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
  • Expert knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft 365.
  • Proficient in AWS services and their integration into business solutions.

About CoBank

The typical base pay range for this role is between $108,400 - $133,280. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. The listed salary, other compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting. This job will be posted for a minimum of five (5) business days or until the position is filled.
