Job Description

Responsible for managing CoBank’s stakeholder engagement programs, including the bank’s signature customer-directed giving program, associate-directed giving, board-directed giving, and associate volunteerism. Manages these giving programs end-to-end, coordinating applications, internal review and approvals, and timely payment to community partners within the grants management system while supporting strong partner relationships and a consistent customer experience. Supports a comprehensive associate volunteerism program, including the development, planning, and execution of CoBank-sponsored and team volunteer events; partners with nonprofit organizations to identify and coordinate volunteer opportunities; and collaborates with Internal Communications to promote participation and share volunteer impact. Owns data management for giving and volunteerism programs in the grants management system and produces analysis and dashboards that demonstrate impact through quantitative and qualitative outcomes. Partners with CSR team members to build multi-faceted community partnerships, develop CSR stories, and support the annual Sustainability Report and related materials while identifying opportunities for thought leadership and continuous process improvement.

Essential Functions

  • Owns end-to-end management of CoBank’s customer-directed giving program. Works with business relationship managers and Corporate Communications on customer communications, coordinates customer applications, approvals, and payment to community partners within grants management system.
  • Owns end-to-end management of CoBank’s associate-directed giving program. Coordinates promotion of program to associates with Corporate Communications and HR, manages associate applications, approvals, and payment to community partners within grants management system.
  • Leads associate volunteerism program, including the development, planning, and execution of CoBank sponsored volunteer events and team volunteer events. Manages inventory of volunteer t-shirts for associate volunteers.
  • Serves as a liaison with Corporate Communications on internal and external communication about CSR programs and impact. Identifies and develops compelling content for CSR story bank to be shared through corporate communication channels in support of the bank’s reputation.
  • Serves as operational manager for grants management system. Provides necessary updates to data management and reporting as needed.
  • Performs data analysis and creates dashboards on grant portfolio and volunteerism as needed for reporting to key stakeholders. Demonstrates impact through quantitative and qualitative measures including outcomes.
  • Works with CSR team members to build multi-faceted partnerships with layered assets, such as grants, volunteerism, board service, etc.
  • Supports the development of the annual Sustainability Report and supporting materials.
  • Identifies opportunities for CoBank to serve as a thought leader.
  • Leverages market trends and stays current on industry best practices to inform strategic decision-making. Conducts benchmarking and research as needed.
  • Collects, synthesizes and summarizes information for inclusion in reports, projects, and content development. Conveys complex subjects into actionable initiatives.
  • Contributes to advancement of company’s overall CSR strategy.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required

Work Experience

  • 3 years of related experience, preferably in corporate social responsibility, ESG, government relations, nonprofit, foundation, grantmaking, or corporate citizenship required
  • Prior Experience with the development of strategic partnerships and effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders across the community, philanthropic, business, and government sectors. required
  • Understanding of corporate social responsibility and community investment best practice and trends.
  • Must be an action-oriented doer who can enact positive and impactful change quickly.
  • Ability to achieve solutions to meet the company’s CSR objectives, proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to achieve results.
  • Demonstrates comfort with ambiguity and the ability to problem solve, test and learn.
  • Developed project management skills, ability to multi-task and manage many work streams with different stakeholders
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with various parties of different subject areas.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting, as well as with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Detail-oriented and organized.

About CoBank

The typical base pay range for this role is between $85,900 - $98,240. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. The listed salary, other compensation and benefits information is accurate as of the date of this posting. This job will be posted for a minimum of five (5) business days or until the position is filled.
